How to get here by car?

From the A47 Norwich (Eastbound) follow the signs towards Great Yarmouth. At Acle take the 2nd exit off the roundabout onto the A1064 (signposted Caister-on-Sea). At the next roundabout take the 1st exit to Caister by-pass. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit which will lead you into Caister-on-Sea. The park is on your left hand side.

Is the Holiday Park hilly?

No, Caister is situated on a flat coastal plain. The terrain on the park is mostly flat so it's easy for everyone to get around and the holiday homes are all set in flat areas.

Is the beach suitable for everybody?

Yes, It is a long, sandy beach you can get to straight from the park. The beach is a vast stretch of soft golden sand that leads down to pebbled rock pools at low tide.

Who owns Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park?

Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park is owned and managed by Haven Holidays, part of the Bourne Leisure group who are based in Hemel Hempsted, Hertfordshire.

Is there any security on the holiday park?

Yes, the holiday park has its own professional security service operating 24 hours per day, seven days per week. There are regular marked vehicle patrols throughout the holiday park and caravan accommodation areas as well as regular foot patrols in all areas. Security staff are also present in the entertainment venues and at various other facilities.

How do I contact Reception?

You can contact Reception by telephone: 01493 728 931 or just walk in during opening hours. Reception is located by the main entrance to the holiday park. Reception opening hours are here.

Is there any free Wi-Fi on the holiday park?

Yes, there is free Wi-Fi inside and outside the Mash and Barrel restaurant and bar, inside the Live Lounge and Reception.

What are Fun Passes?

Fun Passes are issued by Haven Holidays and give you access to the entertainment complex so you can enjoy the daytime and evening entertainment, swimming pools, kids' clubs and sports and leisure activities. You can check the current price for Fun Passes with Haven's Reception.

STAYING IN THE CARAVAN

What should I bring with me?

Towels and bed linen which should include pillow cases, duvet covers and sheets for each bed that you wish to use. Alternatively, these can be hired from Haven.

Where can I hire bed linen?

Guests wishing to hire bed linen instead of bringing their own should go to Reception which is by the main entrance. If you wish to check prices prior to arrival then telephone 01493 728 931 during opening hours.

What's included in the basic price?

The basic price includes rental of the caravan, use of the caravan's facilities and gas and electricity during your stay. Pillows, duvets and mattresses are also included.

BUS, TRAIN AND LOCAL TRAVEL

What bus services are there?

There are bus stops opposite and adjacent to the main entrance of Caister Holiday Park. Frequent services include busses 1 and 1A to/from Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills, Corton, Hopton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Hemsby and Martham. Bus number 8 to/from the James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Caister (including Tesco) and Scratby. Bus number 271 goes to/from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Hemsby.

What train services are there?

The nearest train station is Great Yarmouth which is about 3 miles away. There are services to/from Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and London's Liverpool Street station. Cambridge, Peterborough, and Nottingham and the national rail network can easily be reached. Great Yarmouth station is located at Acle New Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 1SD.

What coach services are there?

National Express have fast, frequent coach services to Great Yarmouth from London stopping at Mildenhall, Thetford, Norwich, Acle, Gorleston and Lowestoft. Connections are possible from many points on their UK network.
